                                                           Review Draft
Ole Scheeren is a rigorous architect who created the new concept and structure of architecture in Singapore, called The Interlace. He's the head of the Büro Ole Scheeren Group and has completed a series of projects in Asia. He won the World Building of the Year 2015, Best Mixed-Use Development 2015, and Global Urban Habitat Award. The character of the architect Ole Scheeren can also be reflected in his architecture. He is a rigorous, logical and meticulous person who is creative and not restricted by the existing architectural style. Although some people are not optimistic about this model, architecture fully considers human needs and provides people with a comfortable living place.
The block consists of many houses overlapping each other in the shape of a hexagonal grid, they cross each other. The most striking feature is that since they are very close, they can have the benefit of connecting communities to facilitate interaction, and people can also stand on connected terraces and talk. Due to the complex structure of the building, its whole can outline a better landscape, the sky through the gaps between the houses and the distance to form a unique landscape, which is unique to this building. More interestingly, the house is positioned at a 120 degree Angle to maximize light capture, fill in the shadows and keep the weather cooler.
The building is a symbol of Singapore's ability to be collective and capitalist at the same time. It is a contemporary, neo-futuristic building, which stands 89 meters high and has 24 floors. It was completed in September 2013. It is an amazing building. The Interlac is located between the Ayer Rajah Expressway, one of the city-state’s major roads, and a 10-kilometre long green zone that stretches between the Kent Ridge, Telok Blangah Hill and Mount Faber parks. It has underground parking, children's play areas and a fire escape that can be used as a jogging track. Terraces also offer a lot of freedom to choose from, with shared and private terraces satisfying people's demands for privacy and social interaction. As the building is built between a highway and a forested ridge, mixed with concrete and green vegetation, the structure is designed to highlight the lush landscape and make the landscape more layered.
The building also references the techniques used to build Bridges, and all the money is spent on the building rather than the cultural packaging. The architects were very careful in the construction, the planning of the apartments, the interference elements of the air conditioning, the visual views of the building, and the surrounding functions were all planned. The control joints in the concrete are hexagonal in shape and correspond to the hexagonal grid of the building. The architectural style and density make its price lower, improve the cost performance, and is a good choice for most people.
